How to organize the recruitment of a foreigner? Step by step

It is no secret that many citizens of Belarus and Ukraine are looking for work in Poland. They are very hard-working, which in turn does not escape the attention of recruiters. How to organize such recruitment?

Recruit foreigners in 3 steps

If you want to hire a foreigner in your company, the first thing you need to do is to issue a job advertisement. It is important to include information not only in Polish, but also in a foreign language. Remember that many foreigners communicate in our native language, but not enough to understand the written word well.

The next, in fact the most important stage, is legalization of residence and work. Your task is to obtain from the employed person a promise of employment, on the basis of which it is possible to obtain a work visa. However, if the foreigner already has a document entitling him to stay in Poland, you only need to apply for a work permit. Foreigners from Belarus, Moldova, Georgia, Russia, Armenia and Ukraine benefit from the so-called simplified procedure. Then it is sufficient for the employer to submit a statement of intent to hire to the PUP.

Once the above formalities have been completed, it will be time to sign a contract with the foreigner. In this context, it is extremely important that the content of the document is formulated in a language he understands. The same applies to any other elements, such as annexes, regulations and the like.

How to make it easier to recruit foreign workers?

If you want to hire a foreigner more quickly and without having to comply with complicated formalities, sign an outsourcing contract with a selected employment agency. Then it is the responsibility of this entity to follow the procedure described above, as well as to handle personnel and payroll, provide work clothes and safety training.
