New Regulations on Employing Foreigners in Poland from June 1, 2025

Starting June 1, 2025, key changes in employing foreigners in Poland come into effect. Learn how the new regulations impact employers and employees.

As of June 1, 2025, new regulations regarding the employment of foreigners in Poland have come into force. These new rules aim to simplify and unify cooperation principles within the labor market.

One of the most significant changes is the requirement to have a written agreement between the employer and the foreign employee. This means every person hired from abroad must have a formal contract governing employment terms. More information can be found here.

The second important update is the abolition of the labor market test. Employers no longer need to prove that there was no suitable Polish candidate for the position. This significantly simplifies and speeds up the employment process for foreigners. Details are available here.

The third change involves new rules concerning visas, residence permits, and work permits. The updated regulations adapt to the changing migration situation, facilitating both legalizing residence and obtaining work authorization. More details can be found via this link.
